The interconnect billing package focuses on providing assistance to telecom carriers in managing more effectively the exchange of voice traffic with their partners. Interconnect accounts are legal entities that have a telecommunications carrier license. The management of this service is characterized by a small number of accounts with large volumes of traffic per customer.
Interconnect services support the notion of reseller and carrier.
A carrier owns its network and interconnects either through specified carrier codes or through dedicated trunk groups with other networks.
Resellers do not own the network infrastructure, but have a carrier license. They are identified either through carrier codes that are forwarded by users while dialing or by the user CLID.
An account is uniquely identified by one of the following information: Trunk groups, Carrier codes, CLID.

The country of destination of a call is identified through its country code.
The country code is extracted from the dialed number at positions that depend on call origination.
If the call is originated by a carrier, a reseller with accounting codes or a reseller without accounting codes, the country code will be extracted at a different location of the dialed number.
Each account has a proprietary price list.
The rate depends on the country of origin, the country of destination and the date of the call.

The basic report pack includes for each account a monthly invoice and a traffic distribution report per country of destination.
Customized daily, weekly or monthly reports are delivered per request at an additional cost.
On line live reports is an optional service scheduled to be launched Q1-2002.
OLDSA is an On Line Data Stream Analysis pack that can be set to track key performance indicators as data becomes available.
It will trigger alarms as soon as one of the key indicators reaches one of the user specified boundaries.
Alarms are generated in the form of emails or SMS that are sent to selected groups of users.
User defined data feeds can be sent in custom formats at regular time intervals by FTP or email to specified destinations.
These data feeds can be used by resellers or carriers for traffic consolidation, traffic analysis, billing, data mining...
